GOOD LUCK! I would kill for the opportunity to do smth like that XD
OMG!!! YOU MIGHT BE THE NEXT THEATRE NERD ON HERE IF YOU GET IN!!!!!! YOU'VE GOT THIS ZOE!!!
1- I bet you did amazing! And if you didn't, that's okay. They just want to know what talent you already have, and what they can build upon to help you become a better actress. Also, monologues get easier as time goes on. I remember my first monologue was pretty difficult, but each monologue after that got progressively easier. However, I bet you already did AMZING!
2- Don't say that! I bet you are great at it! And if you aren't, that's okay, with more practice you'll be able to develop your voice and progressively get better. I'm still working on my voice even though everyone says it's great (it's really not, you've heard it XD) Even if you don't have the best voice, again, they're looking for natural talent and potential to build upon your talent. If you don't get a leading role, that's okay, you could get an ensemble role too and sing with a larger group of people instead of solo. However, I again think you did AMAZING!
3- JEALOUS! I swear, I have two left feet when it comes to dancing and it takes me hours upon hours to even get it to look half decent. I'm not even kidding. People always talk about becoming a "Triple Threat" meaning you're good at singing, dancing and acting, but I only know like one person like that. I've been loads of leading roles, and just had to put in a lot of extra practice for dancing. And I have done dance for years before quitting and doing something else, but I might start back up again this year. Who knows? But if you're good at dancing, that's a great thing and will definitely work in your favor. I don't know if they'll do this or not, but usually directors pick the best two-four dancers to become "Dance Captains" that get to help choreograph the entire show so that they don't have to worry as much about that.
LMAO this is really long but I hope you get in!!! BREAK A LEG! (not really though, saying good luck in theatre is supposed to be bad luck, you could read about it because I'm too lazy to explain it all)
Tomorrow the cast list for the musical I auditioned for back in march is being posted (it could be posted even tonight but probably wont be)! I'm freaking out! There were like 150-160 people that auditioned (yes I asked) and not everyone gets to get in. However, last year they had even MORE people audition for the musical and I got in so I mean, I've got a good chance. Right??? Oh well, I'm terrified though!!!
WELL GOOD LUCK
Imagine being brave enough to sing, dance, and act in front of judges ðŸ˜
